Photovoltaics out of Bacteria

Students of the Institute of Advanced Architecture in Catalonia prototyped a photovoltaic panel made out of soil and bacteria. The bacteria is fed by-products from the photosynthesis of plants, releasing hydrogen protons and electrons that are then captured into a circuit.
