Magic carpets 2014
“Magic carpets 2014” is an interactive installation by Miguel Chevalier at the former Sacre Coeur church in Casablamca, Morocco. Colorful compositions of both organic shapes and digital patterns are projected on the floor merging within each other. Continuous changes transform the space providing an exciting experience to the visitors whose movement on the floor interacts with the installation. The artist, inspired by biology as well as Islamic art, creates an interactive digital carpet in a country with a great tradition in carpet craftsmanship. The work was completed in collaboration with Casablanca French Institut software, Cyrille Henry and Antoine Villeret with the help of voxels productions.
