Luminous Earth Grid by Stuart Williams

Luminous Earth Grid, by artist Stuart Williams, is a 1993 work consisting of an array of 1,680 energy-efficient fluorescent lamps, swept over an area equal to 8 football fields, in California.

The installation creates a luminous green field that looks as if it came our of an early computer screen.
